 I. GENERAL PROVISIONS

The EduTech Awards Title Voting and Recognition Program (Abbreviated: “EduTech Awards”) is organized to honor educational and training platforms, solutions, products, and services in Vietnam developed based on digital technologies.

EduTech Awards is an activity within the framework of Education Summit and School Exposition 4.0 (EDU4.0) – An annual event founded by BHub Group in 2020. The award ceremony (also known as Honoring Ceremony) is held as a part of the event EDU4.0.

II. PROGRAM PURPOSE AND REQUIREMENT

1. Purpose:
– Honoring educational and training platforms, solutions, products, and services in Vietnam that are developed based on technology (referred to as “Nominations”).
– Help relevant individuals and organizations have more prestigious information channels to access and refer to superior educational technology products, solutions, services, and platforms for application in management, teaching, and learning.
= Contributing to the development orientation of educational technology in accordance with the practice of Vietnam.
– Encourage and motivate the spirit of innovation, application, and mastery of technology in education and training activities.

2. Requirement:
– The organization is implemented scientifically, professionally, and fairly, based on the announced criteria of the program.
– Communication and honoring activities are organized professionally and prestigiously.
– Developing the reputation of the “EduTech Awards” brand with wide awareness and high social prestige, both having professional-oriented value and contributing to increasing communication efficiency and connecting the outstanding EduTech resources for digital transformation and innovation in the education and training sector in Vietnam.

IMPLEMENTATION STAGES

Implementation procedure:

The Organizer issue decisions on:

  1. The EduTech Awards 2023 organization, deciding the steering member (cum Secretariat agency) of the program and issuing the Program Regulation.
  2. Establishing the Award Council
  • Those entities are based on the decisions to execute.
  • Evaluation rounds:

III. RECOGNITION FORM

– Organizing the Award Ceremony (also known as the Honoring Ceremony)
– Awarding Decision on Recognition of Titles with Certificates of Awards and Cups issued by the Program Organizers.
– The winners are allowed to use the awarded title and identity and relevant documents, for their legal communication and promotion activities.
– The recognition is validated along with the year of voting.

IV. PARTICIPANTS, PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS, AND AWARDED CATEGORIES:

  • Participants: Nominations of the program are products, solutions, platforms, services, content, etc applied in the education and training sector in Vietnam and developed based on technology.
  • Participation conditions:

Conditions on nominations:

  • For the Nominations in Groups 1 to 10 (according to the list of Groups of this Regulation): The nomination has been put into operation and used in Vietnam for at least 01 year or more. 
  • For Group 11 (according to the list of Groups of this Regulation): The nomination has been put into operation and used in Vietnam for less than 01 year.
  • Having a valid nomination profile as prescribed in this Regulation.
  • The nominations are not involved in any infringement, dispute, or legal complaint before, during, or after the program. If any of the above threats, signs, or evidence is found, the Organizer reserves the right to cancel the contestant’s entry or the Prize has been/will be awarded without any responsibilities and is not obligated to resolve any complaint against this decision. Cancellation may be effective for one, more than one, or all of the Prizes, Titles of those nominations awarded in the past or will be awarded in the future, depending on the level of judgment and decision of the Organizer. 
  • Priority factor (but not mandatory): the Nominations are built, developed, and owned by Vietnamese people (Make in Vietnam) and are in line with world trends or recommendations of prestigious international organizations, and the policy of the Government of Vietnam.

Conditions on applicants:

  • As an organization with a legal entity operating in Vietnam, having one of the following legal rights to the nomination:
    • Ownership
    • Commercial exploitation rights
    • Legally authorized by one of the above two entities.
  • Eligible organizations may nominate themselves.
  • Awarded categories: include but are not limited to the 11 Groups below. There is no limit to the number of categories in each group. The Award Council based on the actual situation during the implementation of the Program, may change, add or remove Groups or Categories.

Segment 1: Public sector management. Applicants refer to the list below or suggest the category yourself:

  1. Software for Data management
  2. Software Platform for Public Administration
  3. Software for data transfer

Segment 2: Educational and training facilities administration. Applicants refer to the list below or suggest the category yourself:

  1. School information management (student management, teacher management, digital profiles management, etc.)  
  2. Tuition fee management software
  3. Credits training management software
  4. School schedule management software
  5. School digital report card software
  6. E-learning management software
  7. E-learning management system
  8. School information digital portals
  9. Education operation center (integrated platform, centralized database, API communication and Gateway, Big data analytics, System administration, etc.)
  10. Smart school 

Segment 3: Teaching, learning, Examining, and Evaluating. Applicants refer to the list below or suggest the category yourself:

  1. Software for composing electronic lectures
  2. Educational quality accreditation software
  3. Teleconference solution for education and training
  4. Smart campus equipment
  5. Smart classroom
  6. Smart screen
  7. Smart lighting solutions for learning
  8. Personal devices for learning
  9. Smart library
  10. E-learning (program, content, or school)
  11. Home-study software
  12. E-examining
  13. Software to support education universalization operations

Segment 4: Student recruitment, marketing, and communication. Applicants refer to the list below or suggest the category yourself:

  1. Software solutions to support the recruitment of new students

Segment 5: Digital platform for teaching and learning. Applicants refer to the list below or suggest the category yourself:

  1. E-learning social network
  2. Digital platform for online teaching and learning
  3. Massive open online courses platform (Moocs platform)

Segment 6: Early childhood education. Applicants refer to the list below or suggest the category yourself:

  1. STEM
  2. STEAM
  3. Smart intellectual game for children

Segment 7: Personal development training. Applicants refer to the list below or suggest the category yourself:

  1. Vocational guidance (marketplace platform and relevant service etc.)
  2. Personal finance management
  3. Soft skills

Segment 8: Training for career development. Applicants refer to the list below or suggest the category yourself:

  1. Entrepreneurship and startup
  2. Language
  3. Branding, marketing, and communication
  4. Sales
  5. Human resource
  6. Finance
  7. IT and programming

Segment 9: Corporate training. Applicants refer to the list below or suggest the category yourself:

  1. Software for corporate internal training management
  2. Software for internal e-learning
  3. Employee’s capability improvement courses

Segment 10: Other segments

Segment 11: Prospective education technology

V. REGULATION ON APPLICATION PROFILE:

Dossier submitted online or directly or both two forms, ensuring that all documents are as required.

Eligible application profiles are those that fully meet the following criteria:

  • Right subjects according to the provisions of the Program.
  • The application must be submitted in full, on time, and in the required manner.
  • Nominations in the appropriate category according to the assessment of the Organizer. In case it is not suitable, the Organizing Council reserves the right to transfer that nomination to another category. If the nominator disagrees with this category, the nominator has the right to refuse. This will automatically be recognized as the nominating entity not continuing to participate in the Program.
  • The profile includes the following documents:

Preliminary Round:

  1. Profile of nomination (Form HS01)
  2. Summary of nomination information (Form HS02)

Presentation Round:

  1. Copy of Business Results Report for the last 3 years, certified by the tax authority.
  2. Copy of Copyright Certificate or Copyright Commitment (Form HS03) or equivalent documents showing legal rights as prescribed in this Regulation
  3. Presentation materials (for presentation purposes)

VI. PRINCIPLES AND REGULATIONS ON EVALUATION

  • Evaluation principles:
  • For Groups from 1 to 10: The Award Council based on the evaluation criteria to select the Nominations with 02 levels: Excellent and Typical.

Awarding titles:

“Excellent” level: [Excellent] + [Personalized name of the nomination] + 2023

“Typical” level: [Typical] + [Personalized name of the nomination] + 2023

Examples:

KidSchool – Excellent software for kindergarten management 2023

KindSchool – Typical software for kindergarten management 2023

  • For Group 11: The Award Council based on evaluation criteria to select the Nominations  that achieve one level: Prospective.

Awarding titles:

“Prospective” level: [Prospective] + [Personalized name of the nomination] + 2023

Examples:

KidSchool – Prospective software for kindergarten management 2023

  • For cases that need further debate, the Award Council discusses and/or votes by secret ballot to reach a consensus and a conclusion according to the majority rule. In case the voting results are equal, the Chairman of the Award Council retains the final decision.
  • Evaluation criteria and point scale: 

Specific criteria are decided by the Organizer annually in alignment with the actual situation or the industry development orientation applied by the Vietnam Government.

The evaluation criteria for the EduTech Awards 2023 are as follows:

  • 5 main groups of criteria:
  1. Criteria on Technology and Products
  2. Criteria on Users/Clients
  3. Criteria on Information Security
  4. Criteria on Copyright
  5. Criteria on Revenue (plus points)

The Award Council reviews and evaluates Nominations based on the main groups of criteria, and may consider additional factors (if necessary) case by case.

  • Evaluation and point scale:

For Groups 1 to 10: Nominations are referenced on a 10-point scale.

  • The title of “Excellent” is for Nominations from Groups 1 to 10 that meet the criteria of 8 points or more.
  • The title “Typical” is for Nominations from Groups 1 to 10 has not reached the level of Excellence, but are recognized as having many positive values.

For Group 11: Pass or Fail

  • The title “Prospective” for Nominations in Group 11, recognized by the Council as having one or more positive values and with potential for future growth, is recorded as “Pass”
  1. Description of criteria groups:
  • Criteria on Technology and Products:

Criteria for usability (modules, components, functions, uses of products, ..v..); Non-functional criteria (Availability, meeting user needs; Stability; Performance; Supportability; Error logging mechanism; Warranty and maintenance; User documentation; Human resources); User support; System development technology; Modularity; Feedback, troubleshooting; Performance; Reliability; Connectivity, integration; Application of standards, compliance standards according to current regulations; Copyright; Mechanism for monitoring and updating software).

  • Criteria on Users/Clients:

Criteria on users/clients (Number of active users/clients); Average growth rate of users/clients in the last 6 months; Average reuse rate of the last 6 months; Rate of paid users/clients; Customer care activities); Response criteria (User/clients satisfaction; user/clients response rate)

  • Criteria on Information Security:

Control user access to the system, access the database; Log all effects on the system; Anti-virus software; Control mechanism against data copying; Firewall system against intrusion from Dissemination; Regulations and periodic instructions on how to prevent viruses; Backup and recovery system; Methods of encrypting user data/information and passwords; Having scenarios for prevention and remediation Having an information security process; Having an anti-attack and remote intrusion mechanism (DOS, DDOS); There is a warning and anti-targeted attack mechanism for service delivery systems over the Internet; Integrated digital signature.

  • Criteria on Copyright:

The nomination has a copyright/patent/trademark certificate

  • Criteria on Revenue (plus points):

Direct revenue from nominations and its growth rate of the last 3 years; The contribution ratio of this revenue stream to the current total business revenue of the corporation.

VII. TERMS OF ENFORCEMENT:

  • The Award Standing Agency, the Award Secretary, and the organizations that have nominations are responsible for associating the implementation of the program in accordance with this Regulation. Organizations and individuals participating in the award, if they violate this regulation as well as the regulations of the Organizing Committee, may be considered to be removed from the list of recognition or may be deprived of their awards. 
  • This Regulation takes effect from the date of signing for promulgation. During the implementation process, if any points need to be amended or supplemented, the Award Standing Agency shall raise and report to the Award Organizing Council for consideration and decision./.
